Children's
Wonderland 2009 Dear Parents, Principals and Teachers: Please bring your children and students to Children's Wonderland at the 2009 Asian Festival, April 18 and 19, 2009. This cultural and educational activity is a highlight of the Asian Festival. Children will have the opportunity to learn about numerous Asian cultures, experience different arts and crafts from various countries, and have the chance to encounter hands-on fun with several complimentary projects. The Children's Wonderland is designed and planned for students to enjoy themselves and have an exciting time exploring languages, traditions, and cultures of Asia . Projects and all materials from Children's Wonderland will be free of charge. Children will enjoy making crafts with Asian themes , such as origami Japanese paper doll, Kirigami paper cutting from Taiwan, Indonesian doll, Filipino craft. Children will also want to visit the Avenue of Cultures, with booths from a range of cultures. They will have an opportunity to speak to volunteers from a variety of countries and cultures and observe cultural traditions through displays and activities.
